Bajaj Chetak 3001 – New Affordable Electric Scooter with 127 km Range

Bajaj Auto has launched its new electric scooter, the Chetak 3001, in the Indian market at a starting price of ₹99,990 (ex-showroom). This scooter is introduced as an upgrade to the brand’s entry-level Chetak 2903 model and is built on the Chetak 35 Series platform.
Battery and Range
The Chetak 3001 comes with a 3.0 kWh battery pack that is mounted on the floorboard. Bajaj claims that this scooter can offer a riding range of up to 127 kilometers on a single charge. It also gets IP67-rated water resistance, which means it can handle rain, puddles, and bad weather without any problem.
Charging and Performance
Bajaj has provided a 750W home charger with the 3001. This charger can charge the battery up to 80% in just 3 hours and 50 minutes, making it one of the fastest charging scooters in its segment.
Features and Comfort
The Chetak 3001 has a 35-litre under-seat boot space, which is enough to carry items like a helmet or shopping bags. Like the other 35 Series models, it also has a full-metal body, which gives it a strong and premium feel. This makes it the only e-scooter in this segment with a metal body.
The scooter comes with digital features under the TecPac upgrade. Some of these features include:
- Music and call controls
- Auto-off turn signals
- Reverse alert
- Hill-hold function
- ‘Guide me home’ lighting
These smart features make the scooter more modern and rider-friendly. Get Ready for the Future: Nintendo Switch 2 Launching in 2025

Price and Rivals
The 3001 is the most affordable electric scooter from Bajaj. It is available in three color options. Other models in the 35 Series include Chetak 3501, 3502, and 3503, priced between ₹1.10 lakh to ₹1.35 lakh (ex-showroom).
