Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG Gets a Rs. 5,000 Price Cut on Base Variant

Bajaj Auto has announced a price cut for its Freedom 125 CNG motorcycle on social media. The base model, NG04 Drum, now starts at Rs. 85,976 (ex-showroom) after a Rs. 5,000 price reduction. However, this discount is only for the entry-level variant. The mid-spec NG04 Drum LED is still priced at Rs. 95,981, and the top-end NG04 Disc LED continues to cost Rs. 1.11 lakh (ex-showroom).
There are no changes in features or design with this price cut. Bajaj has not shared the exact reason behind the price drop, but it’s likely due to low sales. In April 2025, Bajaj sold only 993 units, and in March 2025, it sold 1,394 units, which is quite low for a mass-market 125cc bike.
The Freedom 125 is a CNG + petrol hybrid motorcycle. It is powered by a 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 9.5 PS power and 9.7 Nm torque. It has a 2-litre petrol tank and a 2-litre CNG tank. Bajaj claims the bike delivers 100 km/kg with CNG and 65 km/l with petrol, offering a total riding range of about 330 km.
In terms of features, the Freedom 125 is well-equipped. It comes with LED headlight, LCD instrument cluster with Bluetooth, gear position indicator, real-time mileage display, combined braking system (CBS), single-piece seat, rear tyre hugger, and more.
With this new price, the Freedom 125 now competes closely with the Honda Shine 125, which is the best-selling 125cc bike in India. But due to limited CNG refueling stations and less awareness about CNG bikes, it hasn’t yet gained much popularity. Bajaj Just Launched the Cheapest Chetak Electric Scooter with 127 Km Range.
