Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover Split after Three Years of Dating
Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover have decided to end their three-year relationship. Paige confirmed the breakup during an episode of her podcast, Giggly Squad, with Hannah Berner on December 30. She shared that they had mutually agreed to separate, adding that it was an unexpected decision.
A Shock for Paige
“It’s weird, very weird,” Paige admitted on the podcast. “I wasn’t expecting this. When we first started dating, I didn’t think about things like marriage or if we would stay together. You’re just in the moment, in the relationship.”
She reassured fans that it wasn’t a dramatic breakup, saying, “This is not one of those messy stories about who I was dating or what went wrong.”
Respect and Love for Craig
Paige spoke highly of Craig, saying, “I have so much love and respect for him. He’s one of the best people I’ve ever met in my life.” She added, “I will always be his biggest fan and wish him the best because he truly deserves it. But we both felt it was time for this decision.”
She emphasized that their split was amicable. “I think we both love each other, and I believe we will remain friends. It wasn’t a bad breakup. We were just mature about it and communicated what we wanted for our futures.”
A Sad but Mature Decision
Paige described the breakup as a “very sad thing,” explaining how much she had changed over the years. “I started dating Craig when I was 29, and now I’m 32. Your 30s are a transformative time, especially for women. You grow and change a lot, and so does he.”
She even got emotional on the podcast, saying, “I never thought I’d cry on the internet, but it’s okay to cry here.”
Craig Hasn’t Commented
Craig Conover has yet to publicly comment on the breakup.
Romance Started on Summer House and Winter House
Paige and Craig first met in 2019 while filming Summer House season 4, and their relationship grew when they reunited on Winter House in 2021. They officially became a couple in October 2021.
Although they were in a long-distance relationship, with Paige living in New York City and Craig in Charleston, they managed to keep their bond strong. Craig once explained, “We spend the summer in New York because Paige is busier, and in the fall, we’re together in Charleston. We never really go more than three days without seeing each other.”
Concerns about Relocating
Paige had shared her concerns about relocating for Craig. During a 2023 episode of Summer House, she expressed her fears about leaving her family and career in New York. She told Craig, “If you proposed tomorrow, it would be amazing, but then I’d have to ask, ‘When am I moving down to Charleston? When are we planning the wedding?’”
She also pointed out that moving would mean starting a new life, without friends or a career in Charleston, and being far from her family, especially her mom. “I will be changing my entire life,” she said.
Craig’s Approach to Marriage
While Paige had her concerns, Craig also understood the need for patience. “We don’t want to rush things just to make everyone else happy,” Craig said in a past interview. “We want to do things the right way because we want a family one day. It’s important not to rush into things.”
The Rumors and Breakup Announcement
Despite ongoing rumors that Paige and Craig got engaged over the holidays, Paige confirmed that they had broken up on the Giggly Squad podcast. She expressed her love and respect for Craig and assured fans that there was no drama behind the decision. The breakup, while sad, was seen as a mature and thoughtful step for both of them moving forward.
